PG County NSP Update
Many of you have asked questions regarding the Prince Georges County NSP and when we could start utilizing it. Below is the most updated information from Rosalyn Clemens, Project Manager NSP.
Some of you attended one of the meetings that Rosalyn conducted and know that the program has its strengths and weaknesses. It is important, however, for all of us, as industry professionals, to be in a position to answer our clients’ questions regarding the program.
Dear NSP Participating Lender:
Please be advised that the NSP Program will not be launched on May 15, 2009. The County is still awaiting the release of funds from HUD. As of 5/14/2009 we do not have a date when that release will be granted. We are also working to modify the 15% purchase discount requirement prior to the launch of the program.
